Marini Sabrina

Research Physician
Sabrina Marini, born in 1992, is a Medical Oncologist at the Centro Ricerche Cliniche di Verona (CRC), where she has been working since February 2025.
She obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Università degli Studi di Perugia in 2017 and completed her specialization in Medical Oncology in 2023 in Padova.
She is currently a PhD student in Inflammation, Immunity and Cancer at the Università degli Studi di Verona, where she is involved in research projects and in the clinical management of patients with head and neck cancers.
Prior to joining CRC, she worked for one and a half year at the Istituto Oncologico della Svizzera Italiana (IOSI) in Bellinzona, Switzerland, where she served as a sub-investigator in Phase I clinical trials, gaining extensive experience in early drug development, patient recruitment, and treatment administration.
Since 2025, Dr. Marini has been actively involved in in phase I, II, and III clinical trials as a sub-investigator at CRC, supporting clinical data collection and analysis in compliance with Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements.
Her current research activity includes involvement in both industry-sponsored and non-profit clinical studies.
Moioli Alessia

Alessia Moioli, born in 1992, is a Medical Hematologist at CRC, where she has been working since February 2025.
She obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from Università degli Studi di Milano in 2018 and completed her specialization in Hematology at Università degli Studi di Verona on February 4, 2025.
Since December 2022, during her Hematology residency, Dr. Moioli has been actively involved at CRC in hematologic clinical trials as a sub-investigator.
Her current clinical research activity includes participation in phase I, II, and III studies, primarily as a sub-investigator, with involvement in both industry-sponsored and non-profit studies.
Rossi Alice

Alice Rossi, born in 1992, is a Medical Oncologist at the Centro Ricerche Cliniche di Verona (CRC).
She obtained her Medical Degree from the Università degli Studi di Pavia in 2017 and subsequently completed her specialization in Medical Oncology in 2023. She is currently a PhD student in “Inflammation, Immunity and Cancer” at the Università degli Studi di Verona. Since 2024, she has served as a Sub-Investigator ) in phase I, II, and III oncologic clinical trials cunducted at the at the Centro Ricerche Cliniche di Verona.
Throughout her academic and professional career, she has sought to integrate clinical practice with research activities, including a training period at the Research Unit for Molecular Therapy of Cancer (UITM) at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) in Barcelona in 2023. During her training, she attended advanced programs in clinical research methodology, including the MCCR EORTC-ESMO-AACR workshop in 2023.

Stefano Milleri, MD PhD, born in 1958, is the Medical and Scientific Director and Direttore Sanitario of Centro Ricerche Cliniche di Verona srl (CRC).
Stefano is the founder of the CRC and brings more than 25 years of global clinical development and business expertise at Glaxo, GlaxoWellcome and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to the CRC.
Before setting up the CRC, Dr Milleri was Director of Clinical Pharmacology in GSK where he gained extensive drug development experience through the execution of numerous early stage development programmes, in particular selecting and setting up new human disease models and techniques to support the development of new therapeutics.
Stefano Milleri has a Medical Degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy and is specialized in Respiratory Diseases and Geriatrics and has a PhD in Neuroscience from Università degli Studi di Padova.
In 2006 he registered to the Ordine dei Medici di Verona n. 7682.
Since 2007 he is a fellow of Italian Society of Pharmacology.
Effective January 1st, 2026, he has held the position of Scientific Director.
He is co-author of numerous publications.

Casalino Simona

Simona Casalino, born in 1991, is a Medical Oncologist at CRC, where she has been working since 2023.
She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2016, specialized in Oncology in 2023 and completed a PhD in Inflammation, Immunity, and Cancer at Università degli Studi di Verona.

Ziviani Luigi

Luigi Ziviani, MD, PhD, born in 1965, is a Research Physician at CRC since 2006.
Luigi obtained his medical degree from Università degli Studi di Verona and completed an MSc in Clinical Psychopharmacology at San Raffaele in Milan in 2005 and a PhD in Physiopathology and Pharmacology from Università degli Studi di Pisa in 2011.
Before joining the CRC, Luigi was Research Physician in the Clinical Pharmacology Unit at GlaxoSmithKline, where he gained expertise in planning and executing studies with candidate drugs.
He brings 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience to CRC and is the author of numerous scientific papers.
Effective January 1st, 2026, he has held the position of Direttore Sanitario.

Maria Bertoni, born in 1995, is a Pharmacist and a Project Manager at CRC.
She has a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Università degli studi di Bologna in 2020 and she is a registered Pharmacist FOFI (Federazione Ordine Farmacisti Italiani) since July 2020, according to Italian law.
In 2020 she worked as Pharmacist at Hospital Pharmacy in Bressanone, Südtiroler Sanitätsbetrieb - Azienda Sanitaria Dell'Alto Adige.
From December 2020 to October 2025 she worked at IRCCS- IRST Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori "Dino Amadori" in Meldola (FC) as Clinical Research Coordinator. From April 2024 she also worked as Pharmacist Collaborator for Pharmacovigilance in Clinical Trials at IRCCS-IRST.

Christian Boggio, born in 1998, is a Sleep Technician at CRC.

Daniela Cortese, born in 1987, is a Project Manager and Regulatory Specialist at CRC.

From 2013 to 2016 she has a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical and Biomolecular Sciences Università degli Studi di Torino, with a research period at Newcastle University in the Northern Institute for Cancer Research laboratories.
In 2016 she attended an internship in the medicinal chemistry department of Chiesi Farmaceutici in Parma.
From 2017 to 2018 she worked as Medicinal chemistry Scientist in Aptuit, an Evotec company, in Verona.

Crina Cosmina Cozma, born in 1974, is a Research Nurse at CRC since 2022.
She has been a freelance nurse at CRC since 2007, involved in Phase 1 and 2 clinical studies, and she has previously been patient assistant in other centres.
She obtained her Nurse Diploma at Post High School Zalau (Romania) in 1996, which has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health in 2003.

Elias Djilali, born in 1996, joined CRC in 2023 as Project Manager.
In 2019, Elias graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biological science obtained at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
In 2023, he then obtained a master’s degree in “Oncological Clinical Research” from Università degli studi di Padova.
In the academic year 2022/23, during his master’s degree, Elias started a 3 months internship at CRC where he worked as project manager in training as well as a study coordinator.
Following the completion of his master’s degree, Elias joined CRC in September 2023 and started working as a project manager.
Elias is co-author in 1 publication and first author in 1 publication.

From 2011 to 2016 she worked in Rottapharm Madaus, later named Rottapharm Biotech, as Junior Chemist.
During this period she has a doctorate in Genova “Synthesis of highly functionalized heterocycles designed to be preferential (selective) inhibitors of tyrosine kinases”.
She is author of 3 papers.
In 2016 she moved to Verona as Senior Scientist in Aptuit, where she designed and synthesized new chemical entities with high quality experimental input and independently approach.
She is co-author of 2 patents.
In 2019 she worked as pharmacist, preparing and dispensing medicinal products.
In 2020 she attended a Scholarship in Clinical Research Unit at Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata Verona. She supported sponsors for the presentation of the profit studies of different hospital operating units and their review before submitting the study to the ethics committee (CESC).
She joined CRC as Project Manager in September 2021.

Ilaria Meneghelli, born in 1977, graduated in Pharmacy at the Università degli studi di Bologna in 2001. She obtained a Specialization in Hospital Pharmacy from Università degli Studi di Padova in 2006.
She joined CRC in February 2019 as Project Manager.
Since April 2008 Ilaria is a Project Manager at Cystic Fibrosis Centre of Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata di Verona, managing observational, Phase II-III-IV studies.
From 2002 to 2008 Ilaria worked at Operative Unit of Medical Pharmacology - Pharmacovigilance Section of the Hospital of Verona. She coordinated some active pharmacovigilance projects aimed to stimulate spontaneous reporting. She provided support to the managers of the ASL in coding and inserting reports of ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) in the national pharmacovigilance network (RNF). She participated in the procedure operational analysis of signals in the AIFA database and Uppsala's WHO database - Uppsala Monitoring Centre.

Giorgia Mirandola, born in 1997, is a Pharmacist and a Project Manager at CRC.

She gained experience as a pharmacist in various community pharmacies between 2022 and 2023.
In 2023, she worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Laboratorio Chimico Deca in the Verona area, focusing on the fields of allergology, pneumology, gastroenterology, and pediatrics.
From 2023 to 2025, she worked as a pharmacist and study coordinator in the Hematology Department at the Integrated University Hospital of Verona, managing clinical trials and overseeing drugs for the department.
In August 2025 she joined CRC as Pharmacist and Project Manager.

Silvia Palmerio, born in 1988, joined CRC in April 2021 as Project Manager.
Graduated in Medical Biotechnology, in 2018 Silvia achieved a PhD in Morphogenesis and Tissue Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, working on endothelial and cardiac dysfunction.
Since 2019, Silvia worked as Clinical Study Coordinator at Oncology Unit of AOUI Verona. She was responsible for management of observational and Phase II-III-IV both Profit and No Profit Clinical Trials in Oncology.
In April 2021 she joined CRC and started to work as Project manager dealing with Oncology studies.

Sara, born in 1993, graduated in Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Verona in 2016 and in Molecular and Medical Biotechnology from the same university in 2018.
In 2020 she obtained a Second-Level Master’s degree in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Regulatory Affairs.
From 2019 to 2024, she worked at CROs companies, where she held the positions of Medical Information Officer and Patient Engagement Specialist.
From 2024 to 2026 she worked as Regulatory Affairs Specialist in IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
She joined CRC in January 2026 as Regulatory and Start-Up Specialist.

Rossi Irene

Irene Rossi, born in 1967, is a Project Manager at CRC since 2011.
Irene graduated in Biological Sciences from Università degli Studi di Bologna and obtained the Certificate to practice the profession of Biologist (according to the Italian Law) in 1996.
From 1991 until 1995, Irene worked in the Maremma National Park and then pursued an internship in molecular biology at Università degli Studi di Verona.
In 2007 Irene received clinical trial training organised by the National Association of Cardiologists and completed an internship at the Cardiological Research Unit in Lugano (Switzerland).
Irene then worked as Study Coordinator and Data Manager in the Cardiology Unit at San Bonifacio Hospital in Verona.

Ottavia Salvi Bentivoglio, born in 1995, joined CRC in June 2022 as Clinical Study Coordinator.
In March 2020 Ottavia graduated in Molecular and Medical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Verona and obtained the Certificate to practice the profession of Biologist (according to the Italian Law) in August 2020.
From July 2021 until May 2022, Ottavia worked as Biomedical Laboratory Technician at ULSS9 P.O. Villafranca/Bussolengo (VR).
In April 2022 she attended 50-hour Clinical Research training course “Missione CRA” as per the Ministerial Decree 15.11.2011.

Secchi Maria Francesca

Maria Francesca Secchi, born in 1988, is a Project Manager at CRC since 2019.
Maria Francesca graduated in Molecular Biology and in 2017 achieved a PhD in Biomedicine from Università degli Studi di Padova working on molecular pathogenesis of liver fibrosis.
From 2017 to 2018, Maria Francesca had a post-doc fellowship with the role of clinical study coordinator in Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria of Padova, managing Phase II-III-IV pharmaceutical clinical trial in autoimmune liver disease.
In January 2019 she joined CRC and started to work as study coordinator in the pediatric onco-hematology unit at Ospedale Donna Bambino in Verona.
Maria Francesca is author and co-author of 8 publications.

Spina Cecilia

Cecilia Spina, born in 1986, works as Project Manager at CRC.
In September 2020 she joined CRC as Clinical Trial Administrator.
Graduated in Medical Biothecnology, in 2017 Cecilia achieved a PhD in Experimental Hematology at the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, working on potential new therapeutic targets in Multiple Myeloma.
Since 2017, Cecilia worked as Clinical Data Manager and Study Coordinator at the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of Policlinico GB Rossi of Verona, managing observational and Phase II-III-IV both Profit and No Profit Clinical Trials in the field of Hematology, with a particular focus on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and in accordance with GCPs.
Cecilia is co-author of 5 publications.

Tasselli Ester

Ester Tasselli, born in 2000, joined CRC in 2025 as Clinical Study Support.
She has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova in 2022.
In 2023, she then obtained a master’s degree in “Oncological Clinical Research” from Università degli studi di Padova. In the academic year 2022/23, during her master’s degree, Ester started a 3 months internship at IOV (Istituto Oncologico Veneto) as Study Coordinator.
Following the completion of her master’s degree, Ester worked as Data Manager at the Oncology Unit of Policlinico G.B. Rossi in Verona.
She joined CRC in September 2025.

Nicoletta Vardaro, born in 1987, graduated in Biological Sciences from Università degli Studi di Bologna in 2010.
In 2011 she joined the Cystic Fibrosis Centre in Verona of Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata di Verona as Laboratory Technician.
In 2014 she joined CRC working as Laboratory Technician and then Study Coordinator at the Cystic Fibrosis Centre Unit, managing observational, Phase II-III-IV studies.
She moved to CRC site in May 2021 as Study Coordinator and she is Biological Samples Responsible since November 2021.

Daniela Zamboni, born in 1976, is a Project Manager at CRC since 2008.
Daniela has a Biological Sciences Degree from Università degli Studi di Padova and a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology and Geriatrics from the same university, specialising in systemic sclerosis and autoimmune disorders.
From 2005 to 2008, Daniela was a clinical research coordinator in CROM SrL, managing observational, Phase II-III-IV and Pharmacogenetic studies across various therapeutic areas.
Daniela is a fellow of Società Italia di Medicina Farmaceutica (Simef).
